My Higher Purpose & Helping Others

I’m thrilled and honoured to be a part of The Hunger Project & Business Chicks 2015 Leadership & Immersion Programme in Mexico.

The Hunger Project urges people not to wait to be rescued, but to take action now to meet their basic needs, and to end their own hunger. The Leadership and Immersion programme empowers women by giving them the skills they need to take on leadership roles and develop projects within their community so that they can go on to make lasting changes in the sanitation, education, nutrition and health of their families and villages. Put simply, this programme unlocks the creativity, capacity and leadership of these women so that they can end their own hunger, and make a lasting difference in their community. The programme also works closely with the local government bodies to get these projects off the ground.

As part of my involvement, I’ve committed to raising a minimum of $10,000 that will go directly to The Hunger Project. They will use this money to empower men and women all over the world to end hunger and poverty forever.

Being involved in this programme will also offer me the chance to grow and develop personally. By selflessly giving my energy and enthusiasm to help make lasting changes, I’m also providing a strong role model for my son, and showing what can be achieved when you are prepared to leave your comfort zone and step up in your role as a Global Citizen. My hope is that I also encourage others to do the same.

I’ll soon be announcing some Fundraising Events that I’ll be holding (including an extra special personal challenge that I’m setting myself!) to help me reach my fundraising goal – so watch this space!

Thank-you for your support, it means a lot. To donate**, head to:

**It’s important to note that 100% of all donations will go straight to The Hunger Project – no middle-man means no admin fees. All donations over $2 are tax deductible (yippee!).
